Graduate Conversations! December 16, 2020

TSPA, D.C. sat with recent esthetics graduate, Tenacia, and asked a few questions about her time here at The Academy as well as her future. Take a look!

Q: What were some of the challenges you encountered and how did you overcome them?

A: A couple challenges were finances and also trying to keep my mind set on why I came to school. I had multiple breakdowns, slight moments of depression. Just knowing that it’s for a purpose that God has had planned for me literally kept me going. Knowing that I wanna be something bigger than what I am today.

Q: Do you have a favorite memory here at TSPA:

A: Yes, just being with my ladies (fellow classmates!!) learning and growing with them! We actually became a family!

Q: What career plans and goals have you laid out for yourself?

A: My Career plans and goals are to be amazing. I want to learn more about what I do to better myself. Be more knowledgeable than what I am now. Providing expedited services, growing and flowing into my own business. I want to see my name world wide someday!

Q: Now that you’ve completed your time at TSPA, D.C. how does your experience here differ from what you expected?

A: My experience doesn’t really differ. I knew kinda what I was getting into. However, I didn’t expect to get some of the bonus knowledge that came from client visits. My instructor was amazing!

Q: Any advice you woud like to give incoming students?

A: Remain focused on why you filled out that application. Keep that same mindset and goal even through the struggles that come your way. Take a few days to yourself once you’ve completed the program. You earned it! You deserve it!
