Skincare Tips for the Best Skin of Your Life

Everyone dreams of beautiful, flawless, glowing skin, but with new products coming out every day it can be a bit intimidating. Don’t worry, we are here to help with a few tips to make your ideal skin a reality.

Find the correct cleanser for your skin type.
For oily or acne-prone skin, a salicylic gel or benzoyl peroxide wash works great. If you have dry, mature skin, use either a moisturizing glycolic or milky cleanser. Lastly, skin with brown spots or melasma, use a brightening wash, such as an alpha hydroxy acid cleanser.

Avoid Direct Heat Exposure
Getting too close to heaters, open flames, direct sunlight, and other sources of heat can wreak havoc on your skin. Extended exposure to heat causes inflammation and leads to collagen breakdown. We all love the warm cozy feeling but maybe take a few steps back and limit exposure. Also, speaking of sun….

SPF is super important at all times.
Many people only think to protect themselves on sunny days or hanging out in the sun but the truth is we need that SPF all the time. Daily UV exposure contributes to visible signs of aging.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
You hear to drink your water all the time, but did you know that a lack of water in the system means less radiance and elasticity in the skin? Hydration boosts healthy properties in the body and the skin. Don’t forget to hydrate the outside as well as the inside with products of a hydrating formula.

Don’t use too many products
With all the products on the market, it is very easy to get carried away in your routine. Layering on too many products every day can be harsh on the skin and could result in more breakouts and clogged pores.
